Fees/Rebates

Private Health Cover

Clinical Psychologists’ fees may be claimed through the ancillary benefits of most private health insurance funds. Please check with your insurer to see if you are covered.

ICWA and DVA

The fees are fully covered by ICWA in cases of third party motor vehicle accident claims and Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA).

Medicare

Medicare provides rebates for psychological treatment. In order to receive a Medicare rebate, you must be referred to a psychologist by an appropriate medical practitioner (GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician).

Medicare Safety Net

The Medicare Safety Net applied to all out-of-hospital services under Medicare. It is intended to protect patients and their families against high out-of-pocket costs for these services. Once the relevant annual threshold has been met, Medicare will pay for 80% of any future out-of-pocket costs for out-of-hospital-services for the remainder of the calendar year. All accounts not settled on the day will incur an account keeping fee of $15.

Please note you should know that late cancellations (i.e. within 24 hours) or missed appointments will incur a charge of $200 per consultation missed.
